Job summary

Allianz Australia is seeking a Claims Service Manager for Workers Compensation in Charlestown. You will lead multiple claims teams, drive customer-centric engagement with Agencies, and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements to improve return-to-work outcomes.

You will shape strategies, coach leaders, and collaborate across functions to enhance performance and the end-to-end experience for insured clients and stakeholders in a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Workers Compensation and knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation and Regulation.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements that impact Workers’ Compensation claims management and cost drivers.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members.
• Significant experience in a people leadership role in a complex, matrixed workers compensation insurance organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential.
• Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
• Strategy development experience and ability to align regulatory requirements with org goals.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advocate a customer-centric culture through proactive engagement with Agency contacts and management.
• Ensure practices meet contractual, legislative, and business requirements.
• Lead claims teams to meet performance metrics and compliance targets.
• Implement processes and a claims management model achieving RTW outcomes and business targets.
• Provide strategic claims management recommendations to improve worker recovery times.
• Collaborate with managers and peers to implement innovative improvement approaches.
