Job summary

UGL seeks a seasoned transmission line engineer for our North Sydney office to deliver detailed design work supporting tenders and live projects. You will contribute to high-quality outputs across transmission and distribution systems and play a key role in project delivery.

You will develop PLS-CADD models, support tower and pole design activities, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure constructability and compliant design outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in the transmission line industry.
• Degree-qualified engineer with Engineers Australia recognition.
• Strong experience in transmission line design and engineering delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver transmission line design work including modelling and detailed engineering outputs.
• Develop PLS-CADD models and support PLS Tower and PLS Pole design activities.
• Produce line design reports, stringing charts, plan and profile drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop technical specifications and documentation.
• Conduct constructability assessments and ensure compliance with standards.
• Liaise with geotechnical engineers, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support across tendering, construction and project delivery phases.
