Job summary

Challenger Limited, an ASX-listed investment management firm, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to investigate registry-related ETLs and data flows within financial services. You will translate complex system behaviour into clear mappings and technical requirements, collaborating with business BAs, product owners and technical specialists.

The role supports flexible work arrangements with three days in Sydney CBD office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Financial-services experience is essential, ideally within insurance, superannuation or investments.
• Strong technical business analyst experience on data or systems integration projects.
• Experience with registry-related ETLs and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Investigate registry-related ETLs with technical specialists, clarifying business rules and differences between current and intended behaviour.
• Map data between systems and document transformation rules, specifications and the criteria, timing and dependencies behind reports and extracts.
• Trace end-to-end data flows and work with stakeholders to clarify data quality, ownership, lineage and access requirements.
• Run workshops to resolve technical questions and assess how changes affect downstream systems and business processes.
• Define acceptance criteria and validation scenarios with developers, testers and product owners, supporting delivery and investigating discrepancies.
• Improve the structure and consistency of Confluence documentation with mappings, requirements, specifications and validation evidence.
