Job summary

Challenger Limited is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to investigate registry-related ETL processes and data flows, partnering with BAs, product owners and tech specialists. The role focuses on mapping data, documenting rules and ensuring compliance in a financial-services context in Sydney.

Hybrid work with three days in the CBD and two days remote. You'll drive workshops, define acceptance criteria, and improve Confluence documentation while supporting delivery across reporting extracts

Qualifications

• Experience with registry-related ETL and data integration in financial services.
• Ability to map complex rules to technical specifications.
• Strong communication with business, tech teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate registry-related ETLs with technical specialists, clarifying business rules, exceptions and differences between current and intended behaviour.
• Map data between systems and document transformation rules, specifications and the criteria, timing and dependencies behind reports and extracts.
• Trace end-to-end data flows and work with stakeholders to clarify data quality, ownership, lineage and access requirements.
• Run workshops to resolve technical questions and assess how changes affect downstream systems and business processes.
• Define acceptance criteria and validation scenarios with developers, testers and product owners, supporting delivery and investigating unexpected outputs or data discrepancies.
• Improve the structure and consistency of Confluence documentation, keeping mappings, requirements, specifications and validation evidence connected, with gaps and decisions clearly recorded.
