Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Victoria is seeking a Team Leader for Planning and Environment Assessment – Major and State Projects. The role leads a statewide team delivering high-quality environmental and biodiversity advice to support major developments and state projects.

The position requires strong knowledge of land use planning, the Victorian planning system and DEECA’s portfolio. Hybrid work arrangements are available within Victoria.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in land use planning.
• Knowledge of the Victoria Planning Provisions is desirable.
• Experience in preparing land use planning advice and contributing to environmental impact assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a statewide team providing high-quality environmental and biodiversity advice to support major and state projects.
• Represent DEECA's planning role in internal and external land-use planning processes.
• Contribute to the Planning and Environment Assessment leadership team and help build an inclusive, high-performing workforce.
