Westpac Group in Surfers Paradise, Queensland, is seeking a Software Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation frameworks for enterprise applications. You will automate testing, validate data migrations, and collaborate with engineers, architects, BAs and delivery teams to resolve complex challenges.
The role is full-time, hybrid, and focused on improving testing efficiency, CI/CD practices, and leveraging AI agents to accelerate test data generation and script creation.

You’ll play a key role in helping One commercial banking deliver high quality, reliable technology solutions for our Business Lending customers. As an Automation Engineer, you’ll build and enhance automation frameworks that improve testing efficiency, support complex data migration activities, and strengthen confidence in business‑critical technology changes.
Working across multiple enterprise applications, you’ll automate testing processes, validate large scale data movements, investigate technical issues and collaborate with engineers, architects, business analysts and delivery teams to solve complex challenges. You’ll also contribute to improving ways of working, enhancing automation capability and helping teams deliver better outcomes, faster.
This is a full time, hybrid role based in Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
