Job summary

Pepper Money is seeking a Manager, Operational Risk to partner with leaders across the business and strengthen risk management practices. You will provide Line 2 oversight, challenge and guidance for identifying, assessing and managing operational risks while delivering practical solutions that support strong customer and business outcomes.

You will uplift operational risk capability, review incidents, and support project risk management across the organisation in a fast-paced financial services

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, compliance, assurance or related risk discipline within financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and practical application of operational risk frameworks.
• Experience facilitating risk and control assessments and partnering with stakeholders to improve risk outcomes.
• Experience with incident and issue management including root cause analysis and remediation oversight.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage operational risks in line with the risk management framework.
• Facilitate risk and control assessments (RCSAs) and ensure risks, controls and actions are clearly defined.
• Challenge design and effectiveness of controls to strengthen risk outcomes.
• Support uplift of operational risk capability through training and guidance.
• Review incidents to ensure proper recording, escalation and remediation.
• Identify and manage risks with project/change initiatives.
• Analyse risk data to identify trends and governance insights.
• Maintain risk information in the GRC system with accuracy and completeness.
• Promote a strong risk culture and accountable risk management.
