Job summary

Pepper Money is seeking a Compliance Officer to join our Risk and Compliance team on a fixed-term 12 Month contract across Australia and New Zealand. This hands-on role ensures we meet regulatory obligations while delivering great customer outcomes.

You will conduct monitoring, deep-dives and investigations, partnering with stakeholders to identify risks and drive continuous improvement, while maintaining our compliance framework and reporting to executives.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, quality assurance or regulatory-focused role within financial services.
• Understanding of Australian financial services regulatory environment and lending obligations.
• Ability to conduct monitoring, reviews or assurance activities.
• Ability to write clear reports, policies and procedures.
• Ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance monitoring activities across the business.
• Assist with compliance deep-dives, investigations and thematic reviews.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide compliance advice, reporting and recommendations to business leaders.
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of Pepper's compliance framework.
• Assist with policy, procedure and register reviews.
• Prepare compliance reporting, including executive and governance reporting.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
