Job summary

Saab Australia seeks a Communications Systems Engineer to join the DDG Combat System Test and Commissioning group. You will develop and upgrade maintenance manuals, installation inspections, test plans, and schedules for CS communication systems, and support V&V activities across the program.

You will contribute to system readiness and major milestone reviews, perform inspections and testing, and assist in fault troubleshooting while acting as SME for CS subsystems.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven background in System Engineering, Integration, and Test & V&V.
• Desirable background in Military Communications, RAN or RN comms.

Responsibilities

• Review CS communication system design material.
• Generate maintenance instructions for new or upgraded CS communication systems.
• Generate test plans and procedures for CS communication systems.
• Prepare for and support system readiness and test readiness reviews.
• Conduct installation inspections, functional and acceptance testing for CS systems.
• Support troubleshooting of CS communication system faults.
• Assist CS comms team in maintenance of CS systems.
• Serve as subject matter expert for CS communications subsystems.
