Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a DDG Systems Architect to lead the updates to the Hobart Class Destroyer Integrated Combat System architecture within the Defence Capability Enhancement program. You will work with the Engineering team to ensure architectural integrity and drive technical inputs for Engineering Changes.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

Qualifications

Advanced qualifications in a relevant discipline (Systems/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent defence-industry experience.
Certifications in systems engineering (e.g., CPEng, INCOSE) are highly desirable.
Extensive experience in complex or military systems, particularly maritime combat systems.

Responsibilities

Lead updates to the Hobart Class Destroyer DDG-ICS architecture across DCE programs.
Support the System Technical Authority in maintaining technical integrity and fitness for purpose of the DDG Combat System.
Assess impact of mission system changes against requirements and design.
Develop technical inputs to support Engineering Changes and risk mitigation.
Mentor the broader technical team and ensure adherence to architectural principles.
