Job summary
Saab Australia is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer to join the DDG Combat System Test and Commissioning group. You will help develop and upgrade maintenance manuals, installation inspections, test plans and schedules for CS communications, supporting V&V activities across the program lifecycle.
You will be the subject matter expert for CS communications subsystems, with emphasis on system engineering, integration, testing and troubleshooting within a defence environment.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, ideally defence industry.
- Proven background in System Engineering, Integration, Test and V&V.
- Military communications or related defence tech experience desirable.
- Up to 4 years’ engineering experience.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles; ASDEFCON context desirable.
Responsibilities
- Generate maintenance instructions for the CS communication systems.
- Generate test plans and test procedures for the CS communication systems.
- Prepare for and support system readiness reviews and test readiness reviews.
- Conduct installation inspections, functional testing and acceptance testing of CS communication systems.
- Support troubleshooting of CS communication systems faults.
- Assist the CS communications team in maintaining CS communication systems.
- Be the subject matter expert for CS communication subsystems.
