Schoolbox is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to contribute to the ongoing development of the Schoolbox platform. You will work across frontend and backend, collaborating with Product Owners, Designers and QA to deliver reliable features that support educators, students and families daily.

You will implement backend features with PHP, work with SQL databases, write automated tests, and participate in code reviews within an Agile team.

Formación

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; eager to learn from feedback.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and technologies quickly.
• Experience in Agile product development environment.
• At least 1 year of hands-on software development using object-oriented programming.
• Relational databases experience with SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Understanding of web app security risks and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Vue.js or React, Docker, REST APIs and CI/CD is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Implement backend features using object-oriented PHP and established patterns.
• Work with relational databases and SQL to support new features and improve functionality.
• Investigate and resolve defects using logs and error reports.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure quality.
• Follow security practices and address common web security risks.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and Engineering to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies; seek feedback.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing and troubleshooting.
