The Adecco Group Australia is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant for our Sydney CBD team. This role covers financial and management reporting, taxation, budgeting, regulatory reporting and day-to-day accounting using Xero.

You will work with internal stakeholders and the overseas head office in a hybrid arrangement, gaining exposure across banking and financial services in a multinational environment. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a similar role, with Big 4 experience preferred and a

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a similar accounting role.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience highly regarded.
• Experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.
• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience using Xero.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Japanese language skills would be advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily accounting activities, primarily relating to expenses and loans, using Xero
• Review and maintain loan data using Excel
• Support cash flow management and gather information from internal departments
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports, including APRA reporting
• Prepare tax reporting including PAYG, BAS and FBT
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes
• Prepare regular financial reports for the overseas head office
• Assist with expense budgeting and variance analysis
• Support external audits and preparation of financial statements
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance-related projects
