Job summary

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join the Project Delivery Section within the Community Infrastructure Group. You will provide quality surveying services to support planning, design and delivery of infrastructure works and projects across a range of civil works.

The role blends field and technical work, undertaking engineering and investigation surveys, construction set-out and Works as Executed surveys, while offering specialist surveying advice to project

Qualifications

• Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline, or considerable relevant experience within the surveying industry.
• Experience using survey equipment including electronic distance measuring equipment, robotic survey equipment, total stations and GNSS.
• Experience using survey and CAD software such as 12D and AutoCAD to prepare survey plans.

Responsibilities

• Undertake investigation and engineering survey works for Council infrastructure projects.
• Investigate cadastral boundary information and transform survey information to the appropriate geodetic network.
• Investigate and verify above and below-ground utility locations.
• Undertake construction set-out activities and Works as Executed surveys.
• Prepare survey plans and process survey data using specialist survey and CAD software.
• Provide specialist engineering survey advice and support to Council project teams.
• Support project planning activities in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework.
