Jetstar Airways in Melbourne is seeking a Platform Engineering & Modelling Lead to steer the engineering and modelling capability behind our enterprise data platform. You will guide data, analytics and automation initiatives across the business, ensuring reliability, security and cost efficiency.

Based in Melbourne with hybrid arrangements, you will lead platform engineering, data and operations teams, set technical direction, and partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex tech

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake) and AWS.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams (permanent, offshore, contingent).
• Data modelling and transformation expertise with dbt and release disciplines.
• Accountability for platform reliability, incident leadership and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of DevOps and MLOps environments with strategic impact.

Responsabilités

• Lead the engineering and modelling capability behind Jetstar’s enterprise data platform.
• Shape reliability, scalability and evolution of data, analytics and automation platforms.
• Oversee cloud data environment operations including Snowflake and AWS; manage cost, debt and resilience.
• Lead specialist engineers across platform, data and operations teams; align with senior stakeholders.
• Drive technical incident management, disaster recovery planning and capacity planning.
