Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and data engineering.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams (permanent, offshore, contingent).
• Strong data modelling and transformation skills; dbt, testing, version control and release disciplines.
• Accountability for platform reliability, incident leadership, disaster recovery, capacity planning and data quality.
• Proven ability to lead and guide specialists across DevOps/MLOps and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and stakeholder capability including cloud cost management and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and modelling capability behind Jetstar’s enterprise data platform.
• Set technical direction and engineering standards for the domain.
• Oversee operation and evolution of cloud data environment (Snowflake, AWS).
• Manage data pipelines, transformations, modelling, performance, resilience and cost.
• Provide technical incident management, disaster recovery and scale guidance across teams.
