The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to embed and maintain data governance frameworks across the organisation. You will ensure data quality, cataloguing, and policy adherence while working with business units and IT within a hybrid Sydney CBD model.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in data governance/quality roles, strong knowledge of governance standards, and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Experience working with data governance or data management tools such as MS Purview
• Experience implementing or supporting data quality management practices and controls
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to define and manage metadata, data dictionaries, and data catalogues
• Experience working with data owners / stewards to drive accountability and best practice
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Embed and implement data governance frameworks: Establish policies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective management and use of data across the organisation.
• Ensure data quality and integrity: Monitor, analyse, and improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
• Maintain data catalogues and metadata repositories: Ensure data assets are documented, discoverable, and properly classified.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with business units, IT, and leadership to align data governance practices with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate data risks: Proactively assess risks related to data handling and implement controls to minimise exposure.
• Drive data governance awareness and training: Promote best practices and build organisational capability in data management.
