Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with strong Python or Go programming skills and a solid Linux foundation. The role focuses on developing custom software components and integrating open-source code for big data and cloud solutions.

The position requires experience with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and infrastructure as code, and involves working in a hybrid environment with travel to San Antonio and Columbia, MD as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Platform Engineering or Software Development experience (Python or Go) with a related degree; OR 3 years with a Master's in related field; OR 9 years with HS diploma.
• Experience with OS deployment and orchestration (kickstart, Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and container tooling.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and shell scripting ability.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to production.
• Contribute to development of cloud-based big data solutions and integration of open-source software.
• Work autonomously to identify and solve problems while aligning with team architects.
• Collaborate in a hybrid work setting with on-site and remote teammates.
