Job summary

Enlighten is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer in the Columbia, MD area to contribute to custom software components and open-source integrations using AWS, Python, and Go, backed by a strong Linux foundation.

The role involves designing core architecture from prototype to production, leveraging IaC, and collaborating with Architects on broader strategic goals. Hybrid work is expected, with 1–2 days on-site.

Qualifications

• Security clearance not required on day 1 but will be processed; US citizenship required.
• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's.
• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor) and automation tools.
• Solid Linux systems knowledge and shell scripting ability.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; hybrid work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Develop and deploy infrastructure in AWS and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Improve robustness and extend existing code base; act as systems integrator.
• Work with Architects to achieve broader strategic goals; participate in CI/CD pipelines.
