Job summary

xAmplify’s Technology Services team is delivering a critical hybrid cloud environment for an Australian Government client. We seek a Cloud Infrastructure/Software Engineer to support Azure, M365, on‑prem infrastructure and core applications, driving reliability, security and performance.

You will contribute to cloud modernisation, operational excellence and automation within a collaborative, fast-paced delivery team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Information Technology environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Experience in hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Identity management technologies: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with ITIL-based service delivery processes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application and integration issues.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Implement configuration changes, enhancements and fixes across business-critical systems.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous service improvement activities.
• Support release management, disaster recovery testing and operational readiness activities.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers and vendors to deliver technical outcomes.
• Participate in incident, problem and change management processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration activities and platform optimisation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
