Job summary

MIP Insurance Services is seeking a part-time Broker Support - Claims in Adelaide, offering 10-20 hours per week with in-office, home-based or hybrid arrangements. You will submit, manage and progress claims, liaise with insurers and other parties, and assist with broker administration while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires at least 3 years in the insurance industry, strong MS Office skills, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and a flexible approach to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience within the insurance industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills with insurers and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities with multiple priorities.
• Good knowledge of general insurance and policy wording interpretation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Submit, manage and progress claims from initial notification through to finalisation.
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, repairers and other parties to obtain information and progress claims.
• Prepare claim updates for the Broker and assist with client communication where required.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Assist with insurance proposals, forms, database updates and general broker administration.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Assist broker and Senior Broker Support with day-to-day tasks.
