Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Financial Controller, CFO or senior finance role.
• CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, reconciliations, reporting, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience owning a finance function and improving reliability.
• Ability to manage working capital, debt and commercial risk.
• Experience across multiple entities, divisions or international operations.
• Solid understanding of Australian taxation, GST, payroll and compliance.
• Comfort working with external accountants, banks and advisers.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance function end-to-end and ensure accurate records.
• Deliver monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet reviews and budget vs actual.
• Maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast updated weekly.
• Identify cash-flow risks early and propose solutions.
• Partner with the Director on financial strategy, budgets and scenarios.
• Analyse profitability by division, racing program and major projects.
• Prepare business cases and ROI assessments for major expenditures.
• Maintain contracts and commitments including invoicing milestones and renewals.
• Oversee financial performance across AU and US operations with advisors.
