Job summary

Contour Education seeks a Financial Controller to own the end-to-end financial close, governance and multi-entity reporting for a fast-growing national education group.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a small finance team, drive automation and AI-enabled analytics, and build scalable processes as we expand across Melbourne campuses, partnering with People, Academic, Sales and Operations to translate numbers into strategic actions while ensuring audit readiness and robust controls.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA with 7+ years in financial control or senior finance.
• Experience in scale-up, multi-site or service businesses.
• Proven track record automating finance processes and using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close across entities with timelines.
• Lead audit preparation and maintain audit-ready status.
• Drive cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
• Lead financial integration of new entities and system migrations.
• Redesign processes with automation and AI, build self-serve dashboards.
