Job summary

Officeworks is seeking a commercially savvy Category Manager to lead the Art and Craft portfolio within the Filing-Paper-Notebooks category. You will own end-to-end category strategy, influence business decisions, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across channels.

Responsibilities include developing category plans, driving growth, pricing strategies, and leading a high-performing team while collaborating with Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and Store Operations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Category Management, Buying or Merchandise roles within a large retail environment.
• A proven track record of delivering category growth and commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation capabilities.
• A passion for market trends, innovation and creating compelling customer offers.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire teams.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing category plans that deliver sales, margin and EBIT targets.
• Identifying growth opportunities through customer insights, data and market trends.
• Driving innovation through new products, services and private label opportunities.
• Leading range reviews, pricing strategies and promotional plans.
• Building strong supplier partnerships and negotiating commercially beneficial outcomes.
• Collaborating across Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and Store Operations to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Coaching and developing a high-performing Category team.
