Job summary

Officeworks Ltd. is expanding its Commercial team with an Assistant Category Manager role based in Chadstone, VIC, Australia.

You will partner with stakeholders to drive category sales, profitability and growth, shaping ranges, supporting pricing and promotions, and analysing customer trends. You will work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop strong category plans and deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, category management, merchandise planning, retail operations or a similar commercial environment.
• Strong commercial curiosity and an interest in understanding what drives customer and business performance.
• Confidence working with data and turning insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial performance of your category across sales, margin, pricing and promotions.
• Analyse customer, market and trading insights to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
• Assist with range reviews, product launches and promotional activity.
• Build strong supplier relationships and support commercial negotiations and outcomes.
• Collaborate with teams across Planning, Marketing, Inventory, Finance and Operations to deliver category plans.
• Monitor category performance and help drive actions that improve results.
