Job summary

NSW Department of Customer Service – Parramatta NSW is hiring a Business Analyst to support digital modernisation programs and ongoing tax services. This full-time temporary role (35 hpw) is flexible across Revenue NSW offices with hybrid working.

You will elicit and document requirements, facilitate workshops, analyze processes, and collaborate with product owners, developers and testers in an agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering business and technology initiatives in complex environments.
• Strong analysis and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication translating tech concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Knowledge of Revenue NSW Business Taxes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, document and validate requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders.
• Analyse current and future state processes for improvements.
• Support solution design and delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Translate needs into actionable requirements for delivery teams.
• Support backlog refinement and planning in Agile delivery.
• Contribute to testing activities and traceability.
• Maintain relationships across Revenue NSW and technology teams.
• Assist BAU enhancements and continuous improvement.
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders.
