Job summary

Superior Climate Air is seeking a qualified tradesperson or first/second year apprentice to join our growing Gold Coast team. We perform residential air conditioning installations, servicing, maintenance and repairs, including high-end homes and light commercial work.

Key responsibilities include installing systems, equipment upgrades, servicing and fault finding, with a focus on delivering a neat, professional finish on every site.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified requirements including AQCI certificate and licence.
• Current White Card and QBCC licence are mandatory.
• Driver's licence is required for site travel.
• Experience in air conditioning installation, servicing and maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install split and ducted air conditioning systems in residential properties.
• Perform equipment replacements and upgrades as needed.
• Service, perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Fault finding and delivering practical solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with customers, builders and other trades; maintain tidy sites.

Key responsibilities

• Installing split and ducted air conditioning systems in residential properties, including high-end homes and light commercial
• Equipment replacements and upgrades
• Servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs
• Fault finding and providing practical solutions
• Working with customers, builders and other trades
• Keeping sites tidy and delivering a neat, professional finish
• Apprentices will assist with these tasks and develop their skills under supervision

About you

Qualified tradesperson requirements:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Current QBCC Occupational Licence in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Current White Card
• Current driver's licence
• Experience in air conditioning installation, servicing and maintenance
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and alongside the crew
• Professional communication with customers and teammates

First and second year apprentice requirements:

• Currently undertaking an air conditioning and refrigeration apprenticeship
• Current White Card and driver's licence
• An interest in hands‑on work and a willingness to learn
• Ability to listen, follow instructions and work safely
• A positive attitude and willingness to help the crew
• Supplied work uniforms and basic company tools
• A company vehicle for a suitable candidate who demonstrates reliability and responsibility, or a vehicle allowance, with arrangements discussed at interview
• Varied residential work, including high-end homes
