Job summary

Cool Air Conditioning Pty Ltd – Eight Mile Plains QLD is seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians and 3rd-4th Year Apprentices to join our Brisbane team. You will service and maintain a diverse range of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, VRF/VRV, splits, ducts, and mechanical ventilation.

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is required or equivalent trade qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using app-based service management platforms.
• Ability to prepare repair quotations on site.
• Experience with chillers and controls is a plus.

• Servicing, fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs of a range of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Identify required repairs and prepare on-site quotations.
• Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining safety standards.
• Work hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime and on-call as required.

With over 37 years of industry experience and established branches across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, we are a trusted provider of commercial HVAC solutions.

We specialise in the Installation, Maintenance, Servicing, Breakdown response, and Repair of commercial air conditioning systems.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians & 3rd- 4th Year Apprentices to join our expanding Brisbane team. An immediate start is available.

About the Role

As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a diverse range of commercial HVAC equipment, including:

• Rooftop packaged units
• VRF/VRV systems
• Split systems
• Ducted systems
• Mechanical ventilation systems
• Experience with air-cooled chillers is an advantage
• Experience with DDC and BMS systems is an advantage

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Identifying required repair works and preparing quotations on site
• Delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining strong safety standards
• General work hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm with overtime and on call required at times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience using app-based service management platforms
• The ability to prepare repair quotations on site
• Experience with chillers and controls (highly regarded but not essential)

Required Licences

• Queensland Restricted Electrical Work Licence
• Current Driver Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• QBCC Occupational Licence
