Thompson Cooling is a family-owned business serving Commercial and Residential clients across South East Queensland for 35+ years. We are seeking experienced Commercial Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Technicians and 3rd-4th year apprentices to join Brisbane-based teams.

Ideal candidates live in Brisbane or surrounding areas and have a trade qualification, ARCtick licence, and a valid Australian driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Permanent Australian working rights.
• Strong commercial service and fault-finding experience.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for experienced Commercial Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Technicians & 3rd - 4th year apprentices to join our team.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide variety of commercial HVAC/R equipment across South East Queensland.

This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys fault finding, solving problems and building strong relationships with customers.

Your day will include:

• Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
• Reactive breakdown work
• Providing outstanding customer service
• Identifying opportunities to improve customer systems
• Working closely with a supportive team that wants to see you succeed

About You

We're looking for knowledge, attitude and capability.

The ideal person will have:

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
• Current ARCtick Licence
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Permanent Australian working rights
• Strong commercial service and fault-finding experience
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Pride in delivering quality workmanship

Highly regarded but not essential:

• VRV/VRF experience
• Electrical Licence
• BMS or controls experience
• Chiller or large commercial plant experience
