Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to service commercial systems across Northern NSW, close to home. Join a global leader and contribute to safer, more efficient buildings while enjoying career development and support from a large, remote-capable team.

You’ll work on installation, maintenance, and diagnostics, ensuring high-quality outcomes and strong customer relationships in line with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification) is required.
• Refrigerant Handling Licence and NSW Electrical Licence (or ability to obtain) are preferred.
• Experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence is required.
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise system performance and reliability.
• Install and commission HVAC equipment and components when required.
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service delivery.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of technicians and industry experts.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Refrigerant Handling Licence NSW Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence (or ability to obtain where required)
• Previous experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Current driver's licence
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
