This full-time role is based in Sydney and involves fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal components for air conditioning systems, with a 38-hour work week and a focus on safety and quality.

You will read technical drawings, cut and bend sheet metal, join components and ensure work meets project specs and WHS standards, collaborating with supervisors and trades staff.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine material requirements.
• Practical sheet metal fabrication and assembly experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings and work safely with fabrication tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to determine material requirements and fabrication methods.
• Cut, bend and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools and fabrication machinery.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork, fittings and components for HVAC systems.
• Join sheet metal components using riveting, welding, soldering and other techniques.
• Fit and install fabricated sheet metal components per project requirements.
• Inspect finished work and ensure it meets quality standards and WHS requirements.
