Job summary

IES-AU specialises in HVAC duct installation and mechanical services across NSW and ACT. We are seeking a skilled sheet metal worker with formal trade qualifications and 3+ years of industry experience to measure, draw, order, and install ductwork on site.

You will read complex drawings, align and seal flashings, and perform rigorous quality inspections while adhering to WHS standards and safety plans. A current white card/Elevating may be required.

Qualifications

• On-site measuring, drawing and ordering of sheet metal ductwork.
• Install sheet metal plinth surrounds and condensate trays.
• Read and work from mechanical/architectural drawings.
• Maintain project safety and WHS protocols.
• Current white card and Elevating license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Align, join, and seal fabricated sheet metal flashings to duct penetrations.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure tolerances and standards are met.
• Implement site safety systems in compliance with the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Keep workspace clean and organized on site.

IES.au pty ltd REQUIREMENTS AND QUALITIES On-site measuring, drawing and ordering of sheet metal ductwork and project ; Installation and repair of sheet metal ductwork and work equipment support frames; Install sheet metal plinth surrounds and fabricated metal condensate trays Knowledge, understanding and the ability to read and work from mechanical/architectural drawings; Align, join, and seal fabricated sheet metal flashings to duct penetrations to maintain structural integrity and prevent weather infiltration A strong focus on quality to ensure standards are consistently met Conduct rigorous quality inspections throughout the sheet metal ductwork installation process to ensure all tolerances and standards are met. Proven ability to implement site safety systems and ensure compliance with the Project Safety Management Plan Maintain a clean, organised workspace and strictly adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) protocols Current white card and Elevating

Work Platform (EWP) licence may be required ABOUT YOU Hold a formal trade qualification (e.g., AQF Certificate III) in Sheet Metal Work, Fabrication, or equivalent, with3+ years of demonstrable industry experience. Highly skilled in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing premium-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
