Job summary
11 Recruitment is seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join our team in Caringbah, NSW. You will fabricate, install, and maintain ductwork for air distribution systems in residential, commercial, and industrial projects, complying with Australian Standards and NCC.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years in HVAC duct installation, is proficient with CAD/BIM tools, and holds a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication).
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in HVAC duct installation and sheet metal work.
- Current White Card and Working at Heights ticket preferred.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: interpret mechanical drawings per AS 4254.1 and AS 1668.
- Develop duct patterns using triangulation, radial, and parallel line methods.
- Operate CNC machines, guillotines, shears, folders, and lock-seaming tools.
- Install ductwork systems (rectangular, round, and flexible) in line with AS 4254.2.
- Coordinate with engineers, site forepersons, and trades for coordinated installations.
- Perform site measurements and modify ductwork to suit as-built conditions.
- Assist in commissioning and airflow testing based on mechanical ventilation principles.
- Maintain accurate installation records and assist with O&M manual preparation.
