Job summary

MACRO Recruitment is seeking skilled Sheet Metal Fabricators and Metal Workers experienced in HVAC ductwork manufacturing for a busy Brisbane workshop. Applicants should have proven sheet metal fabrication expertise and be proficient with standard workshop tools for galvanised metal.

The role is casual with a competitive hourly rate and leave loading, located in the southern Brisbane metropolitan area. Immediate start with potential extension through late 2026 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and ductwork assembly.
• Competence in using standard workshop tools for shaping galvanised metal.
• Must hold Permanent Resident visa status in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork based on plans and specs.
• Cut, form, and join galvanised components to required dimensions.
• Produce rectangular and specialised duct components to specified sizes.
• Follow fabrication instructions to maintain quality and meet production timelines.
• Maintain safe work practices and collaborate with workshop team.
