Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in AHU and custom HVAC equipment to join our local manufacturing operations. You will develop, design and execute Make to Order HVAC projects, optimize equipment for quality, performance and manufacturability, and ensure compliance with Australian standards.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree with 3–5 years in a project/design environment, hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Revit), and strong collaboration across

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering degree (Mechanical preferred).
• 3–5 years in a project or design engineering role in HVAC.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and DFMA.
• Experience with CAD software and HVAC principles.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models and cost estimations for custom HVAC products.
• Develop accurate manufacturing drawings and production instructions for tenders.
• Specify and select materials and components aligned with standards and sustainability goals.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams during assembly.
• Maintain technical documentation, project schedules and progress reports across cross-functional teams.
