Job summary
Daikin Australia is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager with Make to Order HVAC design expertise (AHU and data centre products) to lead the project engineering team responsible for the development, design and delivery of locally manufactured MTO projects.
You will ensure all product designs are optimised for manufacturability, quality, performance, safety, and compliance with Australian standards, partnering with production, quality, procurement, R&D and global Daikin teams to
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar Make to Order (MTO) manufacturing role.
- Proven HVAC design experience with AHUs and related equipment.
- Strong CAD skills with SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Revit.
- Lean, DFMA knowledge and sustainable design practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the project engineering team to meet manufacturing KPIs (SQCDE).
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering to optimise performance and cost.
- Deliver engineering drawings, 3D models, documentation, and cost estimates for MTO HVAC solutions.
