Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
  • Professional accreditation (CPEng/MIEAust) is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Make to Order HVAC environment.
  • Proven HVAC design experience for AHUs and custom equipment.
  • Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit).

Responsibilities

You will ensure all product designs are fully optimised for manufacturability, quality, performance, safety, and compliance with relevant Australian standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and manage the performance, development, and safety culture of the project engineering team to achieve key manufacturing KPIs (SQCDE).Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering activities to optimize product performance, cost-efficiency, and ease of manufacturing.Deliver timely and accurate engineering drawings, 3D models, technical documentation, and cost estimates for MTO HVAC solutions to support sales activity.Product Compliance & Standards: Ensure all products comply strictly with relevant Australian standards, building codes, and regulations.Partner closely with production, quality control, procurement, R&D, and global Daikin manufacturing teams to support manufacturing processes and resolve technical challenges.About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring strong engineering leadership experience and deep technical expertise in custom HVAC product design.Tertiary degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
