Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a talented Project Engineer specialising in AHU and Custom HVAC Equipment to lead Make to Order (MTO) projects in our local manufacturing operations. You will develop, design, and execute projects, optimizing custom equipment for quality, performance, manufacturability, and compliance with Australian standards.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 3–5 years in HVAC design or project engineering, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CPEng or MIEAust accreditation is advantageous.
• 3–5 years in a project/design engineering role within the Australian HVAC industry.
• Hands‑on CAD experience and solid HVAC theory knowledge (flow, thermodynamics, acoustics).

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and cost estimates for custom HVAC products.
• Develop manufacturing drawings and production instructions for tenders.
• Specify and select materials and equipment aligned with standards and sustainability goals.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams during assembly and fabrication.
• Maintain documentation, schedules, and progress reports across cross‑functional teams.
