Job summary

Carrier Australia is offering an Air Conditioning Apprentice role that combines on-the-job training with formal TAFE studies. You will learn installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of HVAC systems while supporting experienced technicians on site.

You'll gain practical skills through hands-on work, coursework and real customer site experiences, with travel to client locations as required and a clear path to becoming a qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
• Learn how to fault-find and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Support the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow Carrier’s health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Attend TAFE and complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.
• Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills through hands-on experience.
• Work professionally with customers and colleagues across a range of customer sites.
