Job summary

Zinfra is seeking an Access Coordinator (HV Switching Operator) to manage network access, outages and paperwork for safe field operations in Victoria’s central region from the Thomastown depot.

You will prepare switching instructions and outage applications, operate HV equipment, and drive improvements in delivery methods while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This role requires proactive, safety-first thinking and ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• VESI accreditation and current ESI Worker card.
• In‑depth knowledge of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks.
• Ability to provide support and work outside regular hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage network outage applications, including work clearance applications, switching instructions, system outage requests, and vicinity access applications.
• Effectively operate on transmission and/or sub-transmission apparatus.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement, helping provide cost-effective solutions and higher-quality outcomes for clients.
• Ensure implementation of quality control measures and provide high level advice to team members.
• Visit sites to assess safest and most efficient delivery methodology and identify risks with mitigation plans.
• Manage customer expectations while balancing business needs and maintaining communication.
