Job summary

Power and Water Corporation in Darwin is seeking a High Voltage Field Operator to perform switching for maintenance, fault response and construction across HV networks. You will work with System Control, Asset Management and Projects teams to ensure safe operation and reliability of the Territory's power network.

The role requires HV switching expertise, strong safety practices, and willingness to travel to remote locations.

Qualifications

Current Electrical Workers Licence endorsed as an A Grade Electrician or Linesman.
Current C Class Driver Licence.
High Voltage Switching Qualification/Authorisation.
White Card.
Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Perform high voltage switching for maintenance, fault response and construction activities across transmission and distribution networks with a strong focus on safety and permit management.
Work across transmission and distribution networks to safely operate, commission and decommission high voltage equipment.
Respond to network faults and unplanned outages in a timely and safe manner.
Support reliability and performance of the Territory's power network, including after-hours on-call duties.
