Job summary

Zinfra PTY Ltd. is seeking an experienced Access Coordinator (HV Switching Operator) to manage network access, outages and paperwork for safe field operations in Victoria’s central region from Thomastown depot.

You will prepare switching instructions and outage applications, operate HV transmission apparatus, and support continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across project sites.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Cert III in Power or Electrotechnology) required.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• VESI accreditation and current ESI Worker card.
• In-depth knowledge of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage network outage applications, including work clearance applications, switching instructions, system outage requests, and vicinity access applications.
• Operate transmission and sub-transmission apparatus.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement, helping us provide more cost-effective solutions and higher-quality outcomes for both internal and external clients.
• Ensure the implementation of quality control measures and provide high level advice and support to team members.
• Visit sites to assess safest and most efficient delivery methodology, identifying risks and preparing mitigation strategies.
• Manage customer expectations while balancing business needs and maintaining excellent communication.
