Zusammenfassung

Downer is seeking experienced HV Substation Electricians to join our Energy & Utilities team in Victoria. You will work on Primary and Secondary construction of Zone Substations and Utility-owned Data Centre Stations, including switchyard equipment installation, bus work, earthing, and control cabling.

Strong safety culture and reliable teamwork are essential. We offer permanent positions with ongoing training and a supportive environment.

Qualifikationen

• HV Substation construction or maintenance experience is required.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to safe work practices and zero-harm safety culture.

Aufgaben

• Perform HV switchyard construction including CBs, CTs, VT, disconnecting switches, bus installation and earthing.
• Install and terminate all control cables; install and commission secondary protection and control panels.
• Contribute to primary and secondary HV systems in Zone Substations and data centre stations.

Come join our Energy & Utilities Business working on HV Substations providing maintenance and construction on critical infrastructure assets across the region!

The Opportunity

We are searching for experienced HV Substation Electricians to join our Energy & Utilities team, working on Primary and Secondary construction of Zone Substations, Terminal Substations and Utility owned Data Centre Stations. As part of a small, skilled team, you'll be involved with HV Switchyard construction including CB's, CT's VT's, disconnecting switches, solid and flexible Bus installation, and earthing of all switchyard equipment. Other tasks will include installation of Secondary Protection and Control panels, and installation and termination of all control cables. These roles are based on a nine-day fortnight.

What We're Looking For

• A current VIC Electrical Licence
• Proven experience working in HV substation construction or maintenance
• A strong background in HV primary and secondary systems.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• First Aid & CPR/LVR certifications
• High Risk Work Licence - EWP and/or Forklift (desirable but not essential)
• A strong commitment to our Zero Harm safety culture
