Job summary

A dynamic financial services company based in Brisbane seeks a motivated HR Generalist for a full-time, 12-month maternity leave cover role. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ experience in HR, a relevant degree or be currently studying, and strong organizational skills. This position offers hands-on experience in a supportive environment, working closely with the HR team while managing meaningful projects and daily HR tasks. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and may require a Police Check.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a HR Generalist to join our HR Team in the Brisbane CBD office.

This is a full-time role for a 12-month maternity leave cover.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, people-focused HR professional to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave cover contract. This is a great opportunity for an HR Administrator or HR Coordinator who is ready to step up and gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of people initiatives.

You will be supported with full training and mentoring, working closely with the Head of HR and Payroll Manager, while gaining exposure to meaningful HR projects and day‑to‑day generalist work.

About You

This role will suit someone early in their HR career who is eager to learn, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment. While our HR team is based across Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, this role will work independently from our Brisbane office, while remaining closely connected to and supported by the wider HR team.

What you will bring
  • 1–2+ years’ experience in an HR Administrator or HR Coordinator role
  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or Business/Commerce majoring in HR, Psychology, or a related field (or currently studying)
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • A personable and approachable style, with the ability to build trust quickly
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and adapt to change
  • Confidence working with HR systems and general HR processes
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Will require a Police Check
