Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative Ltd in Warrnambool is seeking a proactive HR and Risk Manager to lead workplace safety, risk management and human resources functions across the organisation. The HR and Risk Manager will be the organisations trusted advisor across Safety, Risk, Human Resources and Recruitment and is responsible for coordinating the workplace relations functions and supporting GAC in creating a safe, engaged and supported workplace where our people can thrive. This is a hands-on management role that sits within the Corporate Services portfolio and plays a critical part in GAC's organisational reset and transformation.
The HR and Risk Manager will build and embed fit-for-purpose HR and Risk systems, policies and processes that support a workforce of approximately 110 staff. This role is also responsible for driving a positive, culturally safe people and culture, risk adverse and compliant environment.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, building strong relationships and providing practical leadership and governance advice, with strong technical knowledge on HR and OH&S.
Rather than driving every people-related decision, the role will equip managers with the knowledge, confidence and support to lead their teams effectively while ensuring compliance with employment and safety legislation, standards and company policies.
