Job description

Enaex Australia has more than 20 years of experience delivering blasting services across open-pit and underground mining, supporting multiple commodities including iron ore, gold, and coal. With a fleet of Mobile Processing Units, five advanced emulsion-manufacturing facilities, and a workforce of approximately 350 skilled professionals, we combine local expertise with global knowledge to provide safe, efficient, and innovative blasting solutions.

As part of Enaex S.A., a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers Group, Enaex Australia offers career opportunities within a dynamic and growing organisation committed to excellence, safety, and sustainability.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Enaex Australia is looking for a motivated and highly organised HR Officer to join our People team in Brisbane.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their HR career who is ready to turn their knowledge into practical experience and build capability across the broader HR function.

You’ll provide day-to-day HR operations and administration support across the employee lifecycle, while gaining structured exposure to HR systems, onboarding, recruitment, payroll, reporting, projects and employee relations administration.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, enjoys improving how things are done, and genuinely wants to build a career in HR. You’ll be supported to learn, take on greater responsibility as your capability develops, and gain exposure to the different areas that make a People function tick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, employee changes and record management.
  • Support offer and onboarding administration, including pre-employment requirements, approvals, documentation and workflow coordination.
  • Provide responsive day-to-day HR administration and support routine employee and manager enquiries using approved processes and policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR systems, employee data, templates, registers and records while supporting strong document control and governance.
  • Support HR reporting, data validation, system testing and projects across platforms including ConnX and SuccessFactors.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, reduce manual work and contribute to practical continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideally, You Will Have
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline, or be nearing completion, or have equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong administration, written communication and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accurate records and following actions through to completion.
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and an eagerness to learn HR systems and new technology.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in Human Resources, with a proactive approach to learning and feedback.
  • Professionalism and discretion when working with confidential and sensitive employee information.

Experience in HR, recruitment, payroll, administration or project support will be highly regarded, as will exposure to HR systems such as ConnX or SuccessFactors.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE
  • Build your HR career with broad exposure rather than being boxed into one area
  • Learn the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to employee changes and offboarding
  • Develop your systems capability working with HR technology, data and reporting
  • Get involved in real HR projects and help improve the way our People team works
  • Grow with us through coaching, structured development and increasing responsibility as your capability builds
WHAT WE OFFER?
  • Competitive remuneration package designed to attract and retain top talent
  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit team with a positive and inclusive culture
  • Industry-leading growth and development opportunities to take your career to the next level
  • Work for a business where safety comes first, always — our commitment to Zero Harm is non-negotiable
  • Access to discounted private health insurance (Bupa, Medibank, nib)
  • Novated leasing options plus exclusive deals on Ford vehicles
  • Travel perks and discounts through Flight Centre to support your next adventure
