About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team in Sydney office. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resource Manager will oversee the organisation's HR operations and provide strategic and operational support across recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, and workforce planning.

This is a hands‑on HR leadership role suited to someone who is confident managing the full employee lifecycle and working closely with senior management in a fast‑paced community services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HR policies and processes in line with Fair Work legislation, employment requirements, WHS obligations, and NDIS standards.

• Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employment documentation, reference checks, and compliance requirements.

• Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution.

• Support workforce planning and ensure HR processes align with operational and rostering requirements.

• Work closely with payroll and finance to support accurate employee entitlements, pay rate updates, and HR‑related payroll matters.

• Coordinate staff induction, mandatory training, professional development, and compliance training.

• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure mandatory qualifications, checks, and certifications remain current.

• Lead HR projects, process improvements, and initiatives to improve workforce efficiency and employee experience.

• Provide HR reporting, workforce insights, and recommendations to senior management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in a HR management or senior HR role, ideally covering recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.

• Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, including Fair Work requirements and WHS obligations.

• Experience managing sensitive employee matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.

• Experience using HRIS, payroll, and workforce management systems.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Desirable

• Experience within the disability, community services, healthcare, or NDIS sector.

• Understanding of NDIS workforce compliance requirements.

• Experience developing HR processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
