Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager for STEMM Partnering. Located on Camperdown Campus, you will lead HSW partnering services across multiple portfolios, ensuring implementation of the Health and Safety Management System and driving culture of safety and performance.

You will manage a partnering team, develop capabilities, and work with senior stakeholders to deliver risk-based, high-impact HSW outcomes aligned to university priorities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a field appropriate for STEMM portfolios.
• ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent.
• Experience leading high-performing teams with capability uplift and delivery accountability.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional responses.
• Strong knowledge of WH&S legislation and Codes of Practice.
• Experience managing serious/high-risk incidents and governance engagement.
• Experience leading complex projects delivering organisational change and CI.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSW Partnering Service Delivery and outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing performance.
• Provide strategic HSW leadership and advice to portfolios.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Health and Safety Management System.
• Oversee daily HSW Partnering Services with agile, outcome-driven delivery.
• Build capability, culture and deliver strategic initiatives.
