HSET Advisor - Onsite Safety & Training Lead

Job summary

PCH Civil is seeking a proactive HSET Advisor to join our Greenbushes, WA operations. This on-site role focuses on strengthening health, safety, environment, and training practices across civil projects, working closely with site leaders and crews.

The successful candidate will conduct inspections, lead risk assessments, and deliver training while maintaining HSET records and driving continuous improvement. Regional site work and a valid WA driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSET advisory within civil construction, mining, or heavy industry.
• Qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline (Certificate IV or higher preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Western Australian WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to diverse work groups.
• Ability to interpret HSET management systems, procedures and reporting requirements.
• On-site communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to work in regional and remote projects.
• Site access cards/certifications (e.g., White Card) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits across civil projects.
• Facilitate risk assessments and toolbox talks; promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and company procedures; assist investigations.
• Develop and deliver safety and environmental training programs.
• Maintain HSET documentation and records; support continuous improvement.
