Job summary

Engenco Limited is seeking an experienced HSEQ/Rail Coordinator to join our Forrestfield facility on a full-time basis. You will monitor and advise on HSEQ and Rail safety performance across business units and ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.

You will develop and implement documentation, conduct audits, support tenders, and drive continuous improvement in HSEQ processes while liaising with regulators and stakeholders to maintain ISO 9001 and 45001

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HSEQ role in industrial/rail settings.
  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Familiarity with IMS tools and methodologies.
  • Auditing qualification and proven experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvements in HSEQ processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and review HSEQ and Rail Safety documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Provide practical HSEQ advice to staff and management.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits as per schedule.
  • Assist in tender responses and inquiries.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and support HSEQ programs.
  • Monitor legislative changes to WHS Acts and Regulations.
  • Liaise with regulators and follow up corrective actions.
  • Develop data and reports on HSEQ performance.
  • Support ISO 9001 and 45001 compliance.
  • Monitor incident management and lead investigations.
  • Maintain risk management documents including Risk Registers and SWPs.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced HSEQ/Rail Coordinator to join on a full-time basis, primarily at our Forrestfield facility. The role is required to monitor and advise on the HSEQ & Rail safety performance of business units and Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation in HSEQ and Rail Safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing, reviewing, revising and implementing HSEQ and Rail Safety documentation to ensure compliance with national and international standards, legislation and business requirements.
  • Provide practical HSEQ advice to employees, superisors and management.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits as per the Audit Schedule, with reporting in a timely manner.
  • Assist in responding to tenders and enquiries.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and assist in the development and delivery of HSEQ programs and initiatives.
  • Regular review of relevant legislative documentation including WHS Acts and Regulations to keep abreast of changes.
  • Liaise with external parties including Regulatory Bodies and follow up and assist with implementation of any corrective actions as required.
  • Develop data and reports on the performance of the HSEQ system against set indicators, including reporting to external Regulatory Bodies.
  • Assist with ongoing compliance against ISO 9001 and 45001 standards.
  • Monitoring and evaluating incident management, providing support to operations and leading investigations.
  • Develop, review and revise risk management documentation including Risk Registers, Safe Work Procedures and Safe Work Method Statements.
About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HSEQ role in an Industrial, Rail or similar industry.
  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of integrated management systems (IMS).
  • Auditing qualification and proven experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to promote continuous improvements in HSEQ processes at all levels across the organisation
  • Sound skills in use on Microsoft program suite.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience in ISO standards and certification process.
  • ICAM investigation training
  • Qualification and/or experience in training and assessment.
